I even used a little rubbing compound.

Maybe we can hookup one day this week when you're off.
I see 55 on google maps, but don't honestly know what road that is. (*edit* is see it - it splits from 17 after you get off 66) If you are taking 17 to 50 you might suggest 601 as a detour. Google maps shows it as Blue Ridge Mountain road. It is about 11 miles from Rt50 to Rt7 along the mountain top. It is where the FEMA facility is located. Once you get to Rt7, turn west and head down the mountain to the river. Right before you cross, take a left ( south) onto River rd which takes you right back to Rt50.
If the vinyard tour thing comes together, this will be part of the route between Naked Mountain Vinyard and Breaux off Rt 7.

but its getting warmer out so the cold shifting problem is pretty much gone. I might just push it off until next winter. I want to change it during cold weather to see if it makes any difference

It improves shifting hot or cold. No reason to let that crap stay in there. Once you get the tools it takes about as much time as an oil change. Your car and right hand will thank you.

I hope so because my transmission has been behaving like crap lately. When my clutch was changed I had them put it in. I never had any issues with cold weather before it was changed, but it was done during the summer so there was about 4 months where I couldn't have noticed anything. I figured maybe swaping back to the stock fluid would help and Dung Beetle posted about having the same problem with RP fluid and swapped it out and the cold shifting problems went away
