Default Does the stock deck have preamp outputs?
I'm thinking about buying a used 2001 A4 and I was wondering if I could connect an amplifier to the deck, or would I need to replace the head unit as well? Although I have a decent aftermarket deck, I don't really want to mess with the acoustics and balance of the stock system, I just want to add bass. Thanks

Default yes, but it doesnt have conventional
RCA outputs. You have to tap into the wiring harness If I recall correctly.

You will need a hi-lo level converter if you are hooking up subs

Default Just hook it up off of the rear speakers...iammatt and I just did this..
It's pretty easy.
