Does your cam sprocket have a yellow paint dot on it? if so, before or after tbelt change?

I recently acquired a 2000 1.8T (ATW) and did not know if the timing belt has been replaced. I went ahead and ordered the timing belt kit from ECS. My indy mechanic has a two week wait to get anything in, and I don't think I'll have the time to get to it for another week, so I pulled back the timing cover just to make sure the belt isn't totally frayed, etc...
I have a yellow dot on the cam sprocket arm that has the machined mark. Wondering if this is a sign that my timing belt has already been changed? I know when I've done t-belts before, I'll put on white-out or a paint pen just to add contrast to what I'm looking at. On the other hand, some cars (Nissan) use diff. color paint on parts to show where stuff goes so when you're putting it back together, its a simple match the color deal.
If you've done the timing belt recently and recall if this was here before you did it, please let me know.
Thanks,

After posting this quandry on a couple other boards, a couple people actually pulled back their timing covers and checked...
Unless these guys were really paranoid, and did the timing belt @ 30-40K, and also forgot they did it
, that yellow paint dot is already there on a 1.8T from the factory..
Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.
I'm following up to myself just in case someone else is in a similar situation and searches this board to try to figure out a definitive answer to the same question.
