I got pulled over for doing 88 in a 55 and the cop was not only nice, he complimented me on how he had trouble keeping up on the off ramp. hehehe, oopps

but I would rather pay the lawyer...
I don't mind the fine, and I don't mind giving the municipality money, and I understand them's the rules....
I just hate having my insurance go up.

yeah... understand...
when there are workers present and medium traffic, I play very nice, as I know people are nervous and there is much less room for error. But I had the whole damn road to myself....

FWIW, the online traffic safety course is a snap...
but then you must keep your record clean in order to have the offense erased. Actually you get a second chance, but it raises the stakes.
The lawyer may be a better option; even if you take traffic safety school you have to pay a substantial ($100+) fine.
Don't ask me how I know about all this....
