Default What i do is use amsoil 5w-40 european oil w/ oem big oil filter

amsoil is the number 1 synthetic oil out there, but their filters blow for the audis. I've been told on this forum and by others to stick with the oem filter(big) b/c it was made to help prevent sludge.

change filter and oil every 5k miles, the oil resevoir is towards the front, don't drain towards the back b/c i beleive that is the tranny. Just read the tech article it has a write up.

Default no prob. jus a reminder, you can unscrew the coolant resevoir on the right of the block,

move the **** up and right keeping all the hoses connected, and then unscrew the oil filter from the top. that way its easier and no burning oil on the skin.

Default and one more suggestion...

when you unscrew the oil filter from the top, slip a plastic bag around it after it is a bit loose. A normal plastic bag from the grocery store will do. Then twist off the filter and any dripping oil will go into the bag. This was suggested by another AudiWorld member and I decided to try it last oil change. It turned out to be an excellent idea. Always use the OEM large filter.. I use a synthetic oil, 5W 40.
