Skip the TT valve and go directly to a Bailey or Forge.

Default Bailey from AWE-Tuning; Forge from Stratmosphere....

....I have no experience with the Forge, so I won't comment. I had a Bailey on my 1.8T and now have two in my S4. Install it and forget it.

its pretty straight forward. remove lower engine bay cover, destroy audi clamp, replace bpv.

Is it really worth like 160 for a Bailey or Forge vs the 30-40 for the TT BPV?

Default Well, from what I hear the TT performs just as well, but may wear out a bit faster.

But dude, I can buy and replace 4 or 5 TT valves before the cost is justified. I've also heard that even the Bailey and Forge BPVs aren't perfect and have been a problem for a few people here and there. You can use google to search the archives for BPVs (or DVs - Diverter Valves) and you'll surely come up with some of the problem cases. I know that Josh (got_root) was mentioning that he may have some problems with the Bailey he has now.

Who knows, I'm still sorting this one out myself.

Default I wouldn't exactly say "install it and forget about it" :)
