Default Dont go to Bellavia Audi (NJ)

It started when I let them install my K04 kit.
At first it all went fine, until 3-4 months after
I noticed oil drippings on my garage. I called
them up and told them the situation and they told
me that I have to pay for finding the leak. And
the estimate was 5-6 hours of labor (that's $75 * 6) Shhit! I went to a local shop that has a know-how in European cars and viola, they found the culprit: a loosely tighten hose that connects to the intercooler. cost (2 hrs at $55).

The lesson: mechanics in Audi Bellavia does not
know how to install a turbo!

Beware.
car is 97 audi 1.8qt

Default That's not exactly fair, do you think?

Ok, here's how I see it. Yes, the tech. may not have tightened down you hose correctly, but it may also have had to do with the break-in with the new kit.

Also you would have to know they would charge to find the leak, so did you local shop. They quoted 5-6 but maybe the tech would have found it in 1-2 like the local shop. It was just an estimate. So the only real problem I see is that they charge a heck of a lot more than the local shop, which would be the norm for local shop vs. dealer, right?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending them, I've never been there, just trying to voice the other side of the equation.

Default That is Slander...

and no... something like that is not under warranty... so labor will be charged. Bellavia is extremely reputable as a performance/enthusiast friendly dealership... What? you want it for free? Do you think they can diagnose the problem without looking at it?

And you say they do not know how to install a turbo? Come on... grow up... and get some class. Were you beating the crap out of your car?

Maybe its just your attitude.

Default I just spoke to them...

First... it was not a KO4... its a K03 replacement.
Second... it was a year ago...

Anything else you are not being truthful about.

If you have a K04 kit on your car... why wouldn't you list it on your sig? You seem to list other mods?

And the mechanic you are referring to happens to be a personal friend.

Default DUDE What is it with bellavia and YOU on their nutz?

don't take this the wrong way, BUT anytime someone even peeps a bad word about bellavia you get mad. I remmeber reading soemone had a bad experience there about his paint job getting swirl marks after they washed his car. Instead of saying that it coulda happened anywhere or something constructive, you start yelling at the guy. i mean geez, you act like ppl are taking shots at ur mother or something. It'd be different if you were like ED Polisiac (sp?) and protected APR like he does- he doesn't get mad and tries to have a useful discussion. don't get me wrong i've read a lot of posts, although i barely post and i do value ur judgement when it comes to the car it self- but i seriously hate the way you defend bellavia.

MAYBE ITS YOUR ATTITUDE

Default I just call it the way I see it...

You are partially right... John and Joe over at Bellavia are like my Mothers... (j/k) and it does **** me off when someone dumps on good people. And I happen to be in quite a volitile mood today... guess it sent me over the edge...

I just think it is wrong to go and slander a business so unfounded. Especially when something like that can happen anywhere.
