Default Don't have the anti-theft code for my radio...

I STFA and found that the number is on the white sticker by my spare tire in the wheel well. I looked at the sticker but the numbers did not look familiar. Any idea which # is the correct one? Any other options? TIA

Default Huh? My code was located with the owners manual.

If the code was on the car in a known location, the security code wouldn't be that useful.

Check the radio operators guide... Flip through the entire owners manual if the card isn't there.

Default That is what I was thinking as well but did not know.

Already went through the manual having no luck with finding the card or the number.

Are you the first owner? If not, maybe call the previous owner and ask?

Default I am the third owner with the original residing in Michigan somewhere.

Can I call the Audi Dealership and find out the code somehow?

You should be able to. I forget what you have to give them though.

Default I had this problem, I'm the second owner...

There was a code written in the manual, but it didn't work. I looked through the paperwork to find out where the car was *originally* purchased from. I called that dealership, and they looked up the history of the car. They found that the stereo was replaced back in 2000, before I owned the car. They proceeded to give me the correct code with no problems. I forget if/what information they asked of me.

The alternative is to pay $90 for your local stealership to figure it out w/ a VAG tool.

Default I was the 2nd owner, the original dealer had the code on file, gave it to me over the phone...

forget what they asked for verification, I think any dealer can tell you the orginating dealer through their computer..

Default Speaking of that.. though I have the radio code, I've never had to use it.. even if my battery had

been disconnected for more than an hour.. Is this normal?
