Default Don't you just hate it when people park next to your A4?

I know I am obsessed with my car, so every time I park my car in public places I usually park in an area where there are hardly any cars around (like the guy in the Passat commercial). But often times there are some a$$holes that love to park right next to me even though there are plenty of spaces that are closer to the entrance. Maybe I should bring some cones with me next time and place them at the parking spaces next to my car. Sorry for the rant.

Default I will park or I dont mind someone parking next to me as long as...

...they have a nice car too and you can tell that they take care of it. I will NOT park next to minivans(kids?) or Civic's (just because ) and I love when the people who open the door slowly and think that it is alright to rest their car against yours just because they did not fling the door open. I give them the "what are you thinking?" look. I also find that parking your car far away is an invite for trouble. Oh well, life was just easier when I would park my Wrangler wherever it would go!!! :-)

Default When my A4 was only 3 months old...

...I had what must have been a 5-6 car pileup occur immediately behind me. I saw the car behind me get hit, but I didn't.

Up until that day I had been parking way in the back of the parking lot, etc. You know the deal. I guess I realized that I put my car at far greater risk by DRIVING it than I ever will in a parking lot. I still avoid the tight spaces, but I don't park it in the back of the lot anymore. Much more convenient!

Default I had a jerk almost ram into the back of me last week (more)

I had just gotten my car back from the shop (6 weeks) and it was my first drive to work with it since I'd gotten it back. I'm stopped at a stoplight and this ******** in a van comes up way too fast behind me. he was smart enough to drive off the road and end up next to me in a shallow ditch. 5 minutes later the road goes from 2 lanes to one and for the last 2 miles this guy has purposely been braking to stay right next to slow lane traffic so I couldn't pass. then as the lnes start to merge he gets into the lane. I floor it to get in front of him while I still have some road left in my lane and the ******** floors his (i think) 84 cadillac to prevent me from passing.

WTF harm would it do him to let me pass? freaking jerk. It was an older guy too (60ish). i was finally able to squeeze past him (I changed lanes FAST and I don't think he thought I could get thru) and he had to SLAM on his brakes which I knew he couldn't stop his caddy luckily there was a right turn lane into a residential and was able to move there while he slammed his brakes (yes, the morons tried passing me when I moved over but he couldn't squeeze through)

I was like "DAMN! IS IT THE CAR?"

Default Forgot to mention, almost got nailed by a couple SUV drivers today.

It seems either their brakes suck like hell or they just love to kiss up to other people's bumper at the stop light.
