Ok here is the thing,

I have a 95 A4 limo, very good condition, but with a dent in the rear door created by the wife of my ex owner. I found a few avant doors on ebay, which are mentioned as Audi a4 b5. My question is will a Combi back door fit a limo.

If anyone has done this, please reply, Any answers appreciated.

You mean a door from Avant on a sedan? No.

Have a look at the roof line, and the c-pillar and you'll see why.

but can i not rip off the top part and only use the sheet metal part of the door??

ah! that's a good point. The window frame is removable, you're just interested in the door panel.

why don't you call up an Audi dealer and ask if the part numbers for the door are the same?

Audi A4 B5 Avant and Sedan share the same doors all round. The rear window frames however have different rakes, but the skin is the same. Simply swap over the windo frames / window regulator carriers, then you're golden.
