Dreaded "No Start" gone bad...(long)
OK, I did a bad thing, I moved the 98 A4 from the drivway to the garage, 10 second drive. Next day, no start. And no VAG. And no Audi Mechs in Great Falls, Montana. Great. I just had all the TSB No Start parts replaced in Hawaii last year. Flat-bedded the car to a local garage with a VAG-1551, turns out the timing belt broke. 61,000 miles on the ODO. We'll see how much this is going to run me, probably half a PES G2. So my wife is getting a timing belt and water pump for X-Mas. Yeah.

It might not be that bad.
If the timing belt skipped as you shut it down, there is a good chance you didn't screw up the head. Cross your fingers.
How sure are you that this mech is competent? Is it possible that the short 10 second run left the cylinders flooded with fuel, and on the next start you had too much fuel in there, so it wouldn't catch? It's happened before.

2nd RKA's advice....
You may just get away with just setting back to TDC and rolling a new belt/rollers on. 95% of all TB breaks that I've seen(on Audi's) when the motor is running, you end up throwing the motor away.

Nothing planned right now.
I was thinking about a holiday get together, but I haven't really done anything about that. The of us have been really busy with work/school/personal stuff, so nothing was really organized for Nov and Dec. this year.
