Default Drive Flange

ok so i am trying to remove the drivers side drive flange i cant figure out how to get it out there isn't a bolt in the center and im trying to find the right replacement from what i can tell the part number looks like it is 012 355 AG. i uploaded a picture of it please help i have to get this fixed before i can continue fixing my car

The drive flanges on all 5-speed manual (01A) B5's are held in with a snap-ring.

So to remove them, you need to lever against the flange with a sturdy pry bar, or better still, a crowbar. You brace the bar against the transmission casing, and hook the claw under the flange lip. Once the snap-ring clears the groove in the differential, it comes out easily.

The only B5 manual trans that has the flanges held in with a 6mm allen bolt are 6-speed 01E.

Thank you for the info and comes the next problem do you happen to know where i can find that part the one i keep finding is for the Auto trans.


the part numbers that i have found/have so far

012 355 AG or 012 355 A6- the number off the original part...
01v 409 399A- not sure if its right
01v 409 809A- the part i ordered... wrong part
8d0 407 417B- got from a guy from audi parts hotline was kind of a ***** about it.
