Default Driver window rattle

I have checked the archives and there have been several posts about the driver's window rattling but none of them seem to state a conclusive fix. Is there a fix? Is this related to the B pillar or the door frame rubbing against the body posts?

98 Volcano Black QM

Take the driver door off and you solve the problem.

What kind of rattle/noise do you have? Does it change when you open or close the front window?
Tom
It goes away when I open the window, even the slightest amount.

My dealer fixed this problem at my 7.5k service in July. He'd said that he'd seen several of these problems, and may have said there was a bulletin, but I don't remember. From my records:
Removed drivers door panel, found . . . cables & guides very dry causing noise, lubed cables, reinstalled door panel. . . .
Haven't heard a sound since.
Jay
98.5 Avant 2.8Tip
