driver's electric seat won't move forward

Default driver's electric seat won't move forward
the driver's electric seat on my 96 A4 won't move forward. i am able to adjust the seat in any other way (up down and backwards) but not forward. what could the problem be?

Default switch? Isnt it the same motor for front to back motion. You could probably get the ...
... seat to move forward just by bypassing the switch. Check all the wire connectors under the seat first.

Default what do u mean by bypassing the switch?
what would i need to do? thanks a lot for the help in advance.

Default I'm thinking you could send power to the motor directly...
... like hot wiring. You'd need the wiring diagram to figure out what wires to use.
