When you press on the left hand side of the drivers seat padding, a creaking sound is emitted near the top of the seat from where you press. Does anyone have any ideas what causes this and how to fix on an A4? Thanks.

Sorry, I forgot to add that this creaking sound seems to be coming from the upper seat region at about shoulder height and is most noticable when you move your upper back off and back onto the seat back. I could not find any info about this problem in the database and would really appreciate any info on this before contacting my Audi dealer.

Could be related to the side airbag. See if it also does it on the passenger side. If so I'm not sure there could be a fix. Just a thought.

I had a creaking in the passenger's seat whenever I hit bumps. Sounded like a loose wire in the seat (?). Turns out it was the seatbelt latch ( the piece the seatbelt buckle inserts into) rubbing against the leather seat.<p>Don't know if it's the same thing for you...

No, it seems to be coming from drivers seat padding only, even when the car is parked, if you press your hand in that region, you can hear it.
