Default Drivers seat started to tear out on the left side ....

There is a crack about 2 inch long now, and I am sure it will not stop there . 2001 A4 1.8T with Onyx leatherette (not the actual leather like the 2.8)

What do I do with it? Do I have to look for a new seat (junk yard or so) or is there a way to patch this up?

TIA!

Default Is this a DIY? Take the lower seat apart I assume ...

... and just put the new cover on? I guess I am asking how easy/hard is it to disassemble the lower seat to change the cover? Is there a tech section or something on it?

Thanks!

Default I went with the new cover from Carson like ianbis says. My friend has his interior guy...

repair his and it really doesn't look too bad.

I prefer the brand new one, though:

DIY is about a 4 out of 10 -- just takes some patience and some hog ring pliers and hog rings.

Default Is that leather E-brake handle factory?

My plastic one is broken so I'm lookin for a replacement, and that looks really nice
