Only thing I can think of is I had a rock kick up on the high way and damage my radiator

I've been doing it for almost a year now, but I got the hardware and its going back on today

Default I ran over somthing last month that damaged my cat. If the belly pan wasn't on...

I believe that object would have been able to get a good bite out of something else under there and could have caused more damage.

Needless to say, I don't think it's a good idea to drive extendly without one unless you're just waiting for a new one to arrive.

The belly pan lowers engine bay temps significantly. Search for UrS4's study.

Default have you looked above the belly pan?

there's alot of exposed, expensive and sensitive looking parts.

my guess is audi put it there for a reason.

2nd this^^ Def keeps the temps lower in the bay and improves air flow
