Default dry crack on the left cushion of my leatherette seat......:(

Salut to AW'ders,

I am sure I am not the first with this problem, but has NE1 found a DIY solution. I keep my car in excellent condition, but living in Arizona in this dryness doesn't help any material, even if leatherette is very durable. My seat are black, so the white underweaving shows up like a sore thumb. I had basically ignored it until I saw someone in the B6 forum was having the same problem.

I know probably to a home decor store and get some kind of patch, but was wondering if NE1 had tried a number of options and found one best of all solution.

I am way out of warranty so no intention of interogating the stealership on this issue.

Any ideas welcomed.

Many thanks,
Patrick

Default Have same issue, 4 inch crack in driver's seat...

Not too bad but I want to seal it before it gets any worse.

Haven't spent any time on looking yet though.

Default Call audi of america: 1-800-822-2834 and complain

I just called and asked them to document my complaint that over a hundred of the model cars like mine have the same problem in the exact same location and these are vehicles in different locations in the country so its not just a freak thing.

The representative was very nice and said she would document the claim and it could spark further investigation, so call them up!

Right, trim is not covered by Audi Assured. I've been there.

Default do you know how many 1000's of calls they got about control arms?

and they still haven't RECALLED them? They don't care about leatherette seats on cars that are nearly 6 years old.
