I have a 2001 A4 1.8T and I was wondering if I can install a After market Dump Valve.?

Did you STFA? This question has been asked dozens of times. Last time was about a week ago.

Short answer: Yes. You can.

Long answer: Yes. You can install whatever want. Be prepared for annoying loud blow off sound and rich running, possible codes.

Actually, you can run a HKS blow off valve on a stock setup without throwing a check engine light. Many Audi enthusiasts do not like this because it is flashy and non-OEM aftermarket. It is up to the owner. But if you get a HKS Sequential Blow Off valve you will also need an install kit like this to cleanly install it on your 1.8t.

And that helps performance over a stock BPV how? Car still runs rich.

Some people like the sound of the HKS and it is capable of holding more boost pressure.
