i posted to see what everyone said about what to VAG, and are we still on for friday to VAG my car? i'll leave around 10am or so, so i'll be up before noon probably.

I have not had a chance to check up on it. I was just looking/searching it a bit now. I'll get the old Vag-Com lap top charged up... she's an old beast with a weak battery but it will do what we need.

BTW, if you bring a PC laptop (if you have one) I'll, ahhh... welllll.... you know, *looks over shoulder*, let you download the software to your computer. ;-) The you just need a cable unless you need a registered version.

only thing i'd ever use it for would be VAGing and since i don't have a VAG i got no laptop... most of the stuff i do on computers requires a desktop. couldn't imagine writing a program or debugging code on a laptop keyboard.

Bummer. The only purpose that PC laptop serves me is for Vag-Com. Otherwise Apple is my friend.

same position for me- when will VAG be ported to mac? maybe the new intel processors will help...

I hope it happens soon as my old PC laptop (free from a friend) isn't going to make it much longer!

via virtual PC but didn't work out. I think I had the wrong vag com program though, so I might try it again for $hits and giggles

I've used it with VPC but it was the USB version and win2k

and I was runnign XP on my VPC. I had the same problems on the PC I was having with my powerbook and it ended up that I was using the wrong software (I bought the OBDtools one used from a fellow AW'er). I haven't tried it on my powerbook to see if it indeed was the wrong software that kept it from working. I've been meaning to try it, but have been too busy on home improvements to be bothered with it.
