I've heard alot of mixed reviews. Does anyone have any good/bad experience with these tires? For the money they seem like a good deal, but is the sidewall strong enough to hold up for our A4's. I'm considering the 225/45 R17s so it will be a fairly low profile tire..
Thanks,
Kevin

Start with the Kumho 712, the Yokohama ES100 and the Sumitomo HTR Z II & HTR Z. All are excellent tires... The Conti Extreme Contact seems to be getting stellar reviews too! Any of the above should be a good choice and will probably make you happy.

I can take the noise, afterall, they are UHP tires. However, the lateral instability in corners is downright scary - these tires reach their cornering limit way too soon. I moved from BStone Potenza S02 to these and I think I know why theyre priced so differently.

Worst tires I have ever owned...would never put these on any car. Steering Responsiveness is appalling...ride is very soft and comfortabel...but thats not what I want as an aggressive driver in a CLK. They may be good for a "sporty" car....but not if you ever drive over 35mph. Do yourself a favor...look for another tire...these are a complete waste of money...

These Dunlops were given as a gift, after i wore out my 8080. My M Coupe sees a lot of city/highway/track driving. These tires have been a huge disappointment in rain, and are very scary at speed on the track. Only plus has been price. I have knocked off close to 15 sec. with my new Kumho MXs on the track, which arent much more expensive!

After upgrading to 18X9 volk gtcs with the fm 901s (245/40/18 ZR) already mounted I was slow to push these tires hard. After a while I began to really beat on these tires and they seem to grip alright. These tires give a good value for their performance for the street. The ride noise is a little bit high, but I didnt mind them. During spirited driving I did find some lack of stability during hard switch back turns. However, tire performs best during long sweeping turns or during slight tailing out drifts. Switching from eagle HP ultras to the Dunlop sp sport fm 901s was a wise idea, but next time I think I am going to try the Yokohama ES 100s.
