AWD system like in the V70, or a standard 4x4 transfer case system like in my 92 Explorer. But, the Torsen system used in Quattro won't be affected by the rear wheels not being able to spin since it's job is to allow the front and rear wheels to spin at different speeds to prevent binding and still transmit power to all 4 wheels.
Anyone have anything to add?

Think of it this way, you would not let a tow truck pull your car around with the rears moving and the fronts locked would you.
