What would you do? What are your thoughts on ending a lease early? What Audi would you get? disadvantages/advantages?

The salesman for my Dad's A6 2.7T called and said "we have a program to get you out in a new Audi,no penalty."

exactly what my Pops is thinking...anyone else have comments about Early Termination w/o Penalty?

The dealer logic is that they want to end the sales year with a bang. So they are targeting people whose lease ends next year. They are saying as long is the car is in decent condtion, and not over the mileage on the contract that there will be no penalty assesed.

My case is I have a lease for 50K, up in June. I am at 50K right now, so if I turn it in now I won't get any mileage penalty. The remaining payments are forgotten, and you have a new car. You don't have to lease again, you can buy the new car if you want.

I'm doing it because the extended warranty is several thousand. Dealer quoted me 4K, I know I can do better, but that ans sales tax just ups the loan payment if I buy. Plus I don't have all the tools/space/knowledge to do the higher mileage maintenance like control arms, shocks, timing belt, etc...
