Eclipse 7002 installed over the weekend. Some BOSE issues now...

Well, the 7002 receiver/monitor went in on Saturday after having it sit in my living room for the past year. Nice to finally have it installed. Unfortunately the install wasn't without problem. Everything functions, except for the integration of the HU with the factory BOSE. I have installed an impedance adaptor to try and throttle down the input power going to the amp/speakers since the HU is sending 25W per channel and the BOSE speakers/amp wants to run at 0.5 ohms. With the adaptor installed I am still getting a lot of line noise and distortion from the bass. So, my question is can I bypass the factory BOSE amp, running the HU straight to the speakers with the impedance adaptor inline to try and help dampen the power output to an acceptable range for the BOSE speakers? Or, am I stuck with just having to pull and scrap the BOSE amp and speakers, replacing them with all aftermarket? My friend and I will more than likely try to do the bypass this weekend or maybe sooner, but I figure I'd check with the forum first to see if anyone has successfully accomplished this (and see if maybe they might have any advice?).
I also posted a similar question in the Audio Forum as well...
Thanks!!

i installed it myself & havent had any issues in over a year
how did you hook up the speaker leads? the amp uses a common ground & that can lead to issues
sorry, i took a pic when the car was dirty....shame on me

cut off the ends on one side & twisted all the grounds together, then connected them to the amp's ground wire with solder & wrapped them up with electrical tape then friction tape

As I would like to try and make do with the factory stuff until I decide which way I want to go with the stereo build up. True, it wouldn't be too difficult to just scrap the speakers and amp, and getting replacement speakers wouldn't be too expensive, but in the end I only want to do this stuff once- For that I figure I better be sure on which items I want to buy the first time around (and making up my mind can sometimes take a while). Anyhoo, that's my story and I'm sticking to it ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
