ECS 2-piece BBK... they have 312mm and 332mm... the 332mm set uses carrier adapters
instead of new carriers like the 312mm (A8-size). any drawback to this use? the larger kit is actually cheaper, and i am guessing it is because it doesnt use replacement carriers.
any info/insight on either kit? and why you wouldnt get the bigger kit for less?

I don't know about the drawbacks of having carrier adaptors, but...
...one thing to keep in mind is maintainence.
The thing I like about my porsche-A8 settup is the fact that I can get replacement rotors relatively quickly and have multiple vendors to get them.
If ECS ever goes out of business, who would you get replacement rotors from?

...was thinking that route when the time comes. And that time is fast approaching.
AFAIK, ECS's rotors are exclusive to ECS. AFAIK, they are the only ones tha can provide replacement parts. I'm sure you could probably find a suitable replacement rotor for the 332 kit, but I'm sure there will be some headaches involved.
