I've had this clutch in long enough now to get a good driving impression. Verdict: :-D I like it. It no longer feels as tight as I first thought. I was just too used to a worn out A4 clutch. The engagement is low, but I have gotten used to sitting closer to the pedals and the pedal travel seems to be much smoother now. The strange thing is that I had to replace the rear wheel bearings in order to enjoy it. The vibration and noise from the bearings was screwing with my shifting. I typically shift by the pitch of the engine and couldn't hear it properly because of the bearing noise. As a result, I was shifting in the wrong part of the power band. It felt horrible and I was concerned that I had DV problems too. Now, all is good and the car feels much more responsive. Also, the vibration that I was associating with the engine and transmission mount replacement seems to be less intrusive since replacing the wheel bearings. Weird. As for any chattering with a 9lb. flywheel, sometimes at a red light, with the car in neutral and my foot off of the clutch pedal, it will chatter. People will sometimes look at me funny as they probably think my car will explode. I ignore them. That is the only time that I notice any chatter.

I don't seem to have the problems that everybody else is having. Detonation, crappy running, etc. I am probably not making full power without an FMIC, but once I do have one, it should only improve things. I am not sure that I like the ATP exhaust manifold. The spool-up was better with the OEM mani. Sure, the ATP allows for greater peak HP, but when am I going to see it outside of a dyno?

I still have the boost turned down a bit to ~21 at redline but its damn fast. When does yours spool? What plugs do you run?gap? Are you running a N75? if so which one and what are your boost levels at redline? Just curious, to tell you the truth i didnt really notice too much with the FMIC, i though the hot air was the cause to my detonation but it was the plugs. of course its the $12 solution not the $825 one i cought first....

It seems like it starts to get into real boost somewhere north of 3K, but I might be off a bit. I peak at 19 psi and can hold it to redline. I peaked at 22 psi with the oem manifold and boost seemed to come on much sooner. For plugs, I have Bosch Platin F5DPOR. They aren't cheap, but they're worth it. I swapped them out at 15,000 miles and the old ones looked brand new. I will probably put them back in when it's really time to swap out the second set. I'm not sure what they're gapped at, I just use what they're gapped at from the factory. I'd like to see what kind of boost I can run with an FMIC and a Boost Machine. I think that I will be very happy. Another variable is altitude, I run anywhere from 5,000 to 7,200 feet (Colorado and New Mexico). How about you?
