except yours will only work on a 30V.

Default True, but, you can cut it, and make 'adapters', and it will work on a 12v, and a 4.2...

Ask me how I know! =)

Default Or buy the ECS one :D In my case, I have either used whiteout and clamps, or my homebrew

perforated L bracket with lots of bolts/nuts and infinite adjustability

Why would it matter, when you can by the same factory versions for less, unless you own multiple Audis with different engines(ie 30v, 12v, etc.). That demographic is probably statistically very small.

Default Not necessarily own, but if you have to work on them. Otherwise, spending ~$175 on a one time use

tool (assuming you keep your car less than 10 years), is quite a wasted investment when for a little more money, someone else can do the work.
