ECS Tuning Question
I know this topic has been beaten to death, but....
ECS claims they have a HKS BOV valve adapter kit that allows you to use a HKS SSBOV and I quote " ECS HKS BOV kits will not cause check engine light on your 1.8T vehicle."
True or false?

it CAME with a diverter valve, not a blow off....
just get a better diverter valve, if the engine was supposed to have a blow off valve i would think it would come with one. youll run rich, because its not metering air properly. possibly throw a CEL, its just not worth it IMO. If you wnat that blow off sound just get a cold air intake of some sort.

just because it doesn't come with one doesnt mean it doesnt need one
the 30v didn't come with a supercharger but its so much better with one. Just playing around. He's gonna get a bov either way it sounds.

Again, I am not in the market for a BOV or a BPV, i just found the add on the ECS website and thought it would be an interesting topic since there is so much talk about it.

You'll note they also sell a recirculation 'kit' specifically for plumbing that valve as a BPV.
Additionally there is a 'caveat' on the HKS valve information as regards the 'plug' for the OEM BPV recirculation port... "What you do with this is up to you."
