Default ECT Sensor on 2.8Q. Please confirm Location

I'm trying to get confirmation on the exact location of the ECT Sensor (electronic coolant temp) for s 2001 2.8Q Avant. The Tech Guide only shows pics for the 1.8. Can someone please confirm this. I don't know how well these will post, but I can email them out at full size for a better viewing. Let me know.

Big Thanks on this.

Default Do you have to remove the "hard plastic" part of the air tube

I don't know the name of that part. But it seems like that may need to go. Want me to email the pics?

Default What is the name of the Solid Part of the air tube that the flexible hose attaches to?

It looks like that may need to come off?

Default Re: ECT Sensor on 2.8Q. Location

At the backside of the engine, passengerside head, it screwed into a coolant pipe. Remove the air hose between the MAF and intake elbow. The intake elbow will need to be removed as well, otherwise its almost impossible to get to.

Its referred to as the intake boot.. if you take it off, you will have an easier time for sure.
