Default ECT sensor question:

i ordered the Green ECT sensor from ECSTuning and today i went out to my car and pulled the old faulty Blue ECT sensor only to find they are different sizes.

do i need to get the blue one instead of green? i drive a 99.0 1.8T, and it was starting to snow just as i pulled the old ECT so i didn't fiddle with it too long to see if the green would fit somehow. so do i need to get the blue piece instead?

You need the blue one. The more expensive one.

Default crap, how much more expensive?

ECS's website shouldn't say it fits all models of 1.8Ts if it doesn't...

Default No, I have the same year as you. Blue one works.

Chipstar confirmed this for me. It's like twice the price. $8 v. like $16 or something.
