Default electrical gremlins seem to me surfacing -- help --

My sunroof is acting kind of strange. It will randomly open itself to the first "step" open (about 4 inches) -- even when the **** has not been turned. If the **** is then turned to the 1 step open position it will go back to closed. If it is turned to 2 step it goes to 2 steps. If i leave the **** on the 1 step position (closed) then eventually it will open like it should and i can then return the **** to its correct centered spot to get it back closed again. Sorry for being so unlclear and unconcise (sp) been studying all day and am fried.

Thanks for any help.

Sounds typical of a gunny sunroof switch.

and by sunroof switch do you mean the **** switch itself or some other module elsewhere in the car?
