Default electrical prob. please help.

I was driving home from school the other day and all of a sudden my headlights, windshield wipers, climate control, and outside temp gauge stopped working. Does anyone know what this might be caused by? I thought it might be a fuse but all of my fuses seem to be ok.

Default one relay to operate all those accessories? I doubt it.

Relays usually operate one accessory.
The purpose is to allow the actual switch to transmit a small current to switch on the relay which supplies the high current load for the accessory.

Default You could not be more incorrect.

You could try.. but you would fail.

However, my money is on ignition switch. Or LRR.

Original poster should search of load reduction relay, and if that is good, pull the ignition switch.

Default tech articles...

Ok, so in the tech articles, it says i need part # 8D0 951 253 (for a 2000 1.8t), for this relay, however, when i check on an autoparts site there are 2 different kinds;

part # 8D0 951 253 and
part # 8D0 951 253 A

Do I need the first or second one for a 98' a4 quattro 30V?
