Default Brad, I went for the best price but also got the shortest warranty from Autotoys. If you buy from Claire you get the 3 yr. warranty as I understand it. nt.

Default Engine Cleaning, what to use?

In previous posts regarding this subject, it usually had people who used Simple Green and those who did't like this product.

But I don't remember seeing any products that people are using. The only other stuff I've seen is some engine cleaner by Gunk.

Outside of the ECU box any other places I should cover up (use duct tape?) and keep dry?

thanks

Default Re: Engine Cleaning, what to use?

The best stuff I have found is P21S total auto wash - works real well and bio degradable. That Gunk stuff is terrible, works ok, but smells bad and is not bio degradable. Simple green is ok, but does not clean too well. P21 S stuff is avail on line at car care specialties and autopia I think.

Default Use the least you can

No need to pull a Tim Allen and use high pressure and toxic cleaners. Most of what you can see and clean under the hood is plastic anyway. I happen to use Simple Green, a large sponge and brush, and then towel dry after rinsing. It's not that difficult. You should treat the plastic after you clean it (e.g., Vinylx).
