Engine code AJL - is it the same as AEB?
called ecs to get a timing kit - my engine code on the trunk is AEB, but my engine was replaced about 60k ago. When taking off the engine cover to verify the code just behind the timing cover the code is AJL. anybody know anything about that. There were only two posts with that engine code.

We get the AJL engines here in Australia too ..
My old car (99.5) had an AJL and another guy here has a 2001 with an AJL also.
The earlier cars (pre 99.5) have the AEB's here.
I beleive the AJL's only come in the euro spec cars.
Dont know much more than that .. but you may want to ask around in the Aussie/Euro forums too.
