Just noticed an AUG stamped on my engine, I STFA and it doesn't seem to be a popular engine code for Audi B5s, so i googled it and it seems to be the engine code for 00-01 Passats. I've had the car for about 6 months, purchased it as a 01 a4 1.8T. I feel ripped off.

I guess my questions are,

Is an AUG engine code normal for an Audi?

What are the differences between engine codes: AUG, AEB, ATW, and AWM?
