Engine/Motor mount

search for my write up on the passenger side mount
the drivers side should be much easier since you have better access, but the procedure is very similar.
dealer ended up being the cheapest/easiest for me ($80.80). online places wanted $73 + shipping. So couple bux more and i got it right away.

Q..
Mine is oozing a bit of the fluid, so it's time. Did you replace the metal bracket AND the rubber filled inner....aren't they two separate parts (that add up to about $80)? I got a quote for the MM from a friend, and was asked if I needed the metal bracket as well. Make any sense? Thanks ;-)

not two separate part numbers on any of the checks I did. the 1.8T has a rubber cover on the pass side, but not driver side. The 2.8 has the covers on both (same part numbers for both sides). The rubber cover comes with the mount. No way you can separate any of the metal 'shroud' from the rubber easily on the mount itself.
There is a bracket that bolts to the frame of the car, but thats a beefy piece and should not need replacing ever.
So, no...doesn't make sense ...mount itself is just one part number, $80.80 from a dealer.
