Default Engine oil temp gauge 1999 A4 1.8T
I just got the 90K service done, A few times I have seen that the engine oil temp gauge goes to max (i.e 325 - 350) any ideas why this is happening. I dont see any waring lights showing up. Coolant temperature is fine.

I belive the guy replaced coolant, new coolant tank all that stuff..

oil temp goes up before or after the service...or both?

i'd take it back to the person who did the work if they caused the problem.

Default Have you checked the oil level?
Unless it's a faulty sensor...something is seriously wrong, and I would not continue driving the car until it's sorted.
