Engine Question--> Car running in and out of limp mode...
My 2000 A4 1.8t keeps going in and out of limp mode. I hooked it up to a vag not to long ago, and was getting an error that seemed to mean a MAF sensor problem. I cleaned everything the best i could because I was running with a half broken air filter for about a day. I reset the code and ran error free for a few hours, then back into limp mode w/ the CEL. Then i came out of limp mode with the cel on, then the cel went off. now it would seem that half the time im in limp mode, the other half not. Any suggestions on what my problem could be? The only thing i can think now is a possible bad BPV, because Ive checked everything else. Any help would be appreciated.
