Default Engine studdering on load. New MAF did not fix the problem.

I just swapped out my MAF, changed plugs and removed K&N filter. I also put in BG44k with a fresh tank of 91.

When I changed the plugs I checked for charing on the rubber connector between the coils and the plugs and found nothing visible. Rubber is a bit dry from age maybe. Plugs were carbon fouled and slightly wet (I only drove down the driveway and into the garage that morning).

Although the new MAF fixed the rough idle, I am still experiencing studdering (to the point of random misfire CEL) on load (WOT).

Stab in the dark anyone?

Thanks for any help.

Default On a nDBW, when someone says misfires I point to --> ignition amplifier (power output stage).

Default Saw the test and gathered supplies earlier today. I had the POS replaced by Audi last year.

I sure hope it is not that again.

I was out of town when it happened and $700 was not easy to swallow. Now I know that it is so simple to replace.

Default Random misfires on C1 and C3

Random misfires on C1 and C3.

I also looked at the Readiness and had failures on and off depending on when I looked.

I did see failure on CAT, O2 and air intake if I recall.

Default Would the 02 sensor cause studdering?

I seen the posts about the Bosch universal 02 sensor and may try that.

Default Check coilpacks too

I recently replaced my POS (what a name) and am having to replace it again because one coilpack that was slowly going bad killed it. Of course, if you're able to pull the codes (I wasn't -- I was away from home for the weekend) you can figure such things out easily. Best of luck to you.
