Engine swap. Car ran well, then died. Won't start, no cel!

Default Engine swap. Car ran well, then died. Won't start, no cel!

Swapped a 97 2.8 engine into my car. And after finally getting the job done, the car wouldn't start. Replaced the fuel pump which got us fuel, but the car still wouldn't start, just would crank...

Swapped over cam and speed sensors and whole wiring harness from my original engine, and the car ran!

30 minutes later... You guessed it, car misfired and sputtered/lost power, then shut off. Now back to where we were with cranking but won't turn over and start. :/ I can't hear the fuel pump and there is no cel in ON position.

Realized the coil was bad, replaced that and car ran for over 100 miles. Only issue was that it would take a while for the car to start, but it would every time. Later down the road (100 miles later) I noticed the long start issue continued as well as another weird hiccup/stutter/misfire through the powerband when hard on the throttle (last problem came up, tried to solve with cts swap, read on). Figured I'd switch my cts to see if that was maybe the problem. But no, it still did the same thing and led to the car stalling when off the gas and not starting when cold, I don't know if the stalling had anything to do with cts or was a coincidence (it was an old beat up cts i had that I just swapped to see if symptoms would change)

Put a brand new correct cts in, car still won't start. No cel.

What I have tried and know is new:
-Unplugging + and - battery terminals
-new coils, plugs, wires, maf,
-vacuum lines
-fuel pump/filter
-ignition switch
-battery
-starter
-fuses
-grounds connected properly


What I am unsure about:
-relays
-icm
-ecu
-fpr

Any insight would be very appreciated, I wanna get my b5 back on the road! Thanks guys!

Whats been noted:

-All fuses are good
-fuel pump is priming and brand new
-check engine light is coming on with key in ON position
-engine cranks strong but just wont start
-battery is brand new
-starter is brand new
-CTS brand new
-spark plugs all 150> miles on them and all look like picture below
-fuel filter 2k miles or less
-brand new coils
-wires all checked out good with resistance check even though have 55k miles on them
-ignition switched replaced under recall 20k miles ago
-new maf sensor
-all vacuum lines new
-egr cleaned
-02 sensors with 5k miles or less
-all grounds checked and good


Things I'm unsure of

-crank/speed sensor
-cam sensor
-icm or coils shorting out
-bad ecu
