Took a pic of my euro frame as I was changing back to a German plate from the Irish one I had on for St Pats day. If you'll notice the 3 screws holding the frame on, they are in the factory US dealer drilled holes, using the same screws that were provided by audi for the US bracket. Behind the Euro frame I have a couple of rubber washers/spacers to help keep the angle of the frame straight instead of angling down.
Forgive how dirty the car is. After golfing 18 holes yesterday, a storm dumped several inches of snow last night, making the roads a mess.

The manufacturer of the frame I have on my car is Wurth. I got it from a dealer in Germany, that's why it has the writing on it. Here's another shot of a Wurth frame off the car.
Notice how many holes are cast into the back of the frame, allowing almost any possible mounting configuration.
Also notice how the frame opens in the middle to allow plate changes. It takes me about 2 minutes to change plates with this frame.

Here's the same Wurth frame with a plate in it. To lock the plate in, the open sides are just pressed down towards the plate, locking the plate in.
For those wondering, the plate is off a European Delivery 1998 Passat that came through the dealer I worked at. Yes, if you are a dealer, you can have VW and Audi European delivery. We had a couple of Passats and A4's come through our dealership that were European Delivery in 1998.

Here's another style of european frame. The upper piece is attached to the bumper, then the lower part is snapped onto the upper piece. This is a frame from a dealer in Ireland.

Thanks!
My grille is just the factory grille, but we used wide pinstripe tape to cover over the chrome around the outside of the grille.
When some of my Audi clients bought A4 2.8s, A6s, or A8s and wanted the chrome around the windows blacked out, we just used the black pinstripe tape and it worked great, so I did it on my grille. It's much easier than trying to paint it, and lasts longer, too. Plus, if you don't like the look, you could take it off.
