Experiencing strong shimmy/ vibration above 75, appears to be
coming from the back of the car. The tires have been balanced and rotated, to no avail. The vibration doesn't appear to originate from the front as the steering is smooth as can be; any ideas?

swap the wheels to the front to see if it's the wheels for sure...
if the rim is bent, sometimes it cannot be balanced correctly, but then the shop should have been able to detect that.
Same goes for tires that are out of round.
Did this just start happening out of nowhere? What have you done to the car prior to this shimmy issue?

The problem has existed to some degree since purchase as
certified car from dealer 12k miles ago. Tires and wheels have been replaced, but the problem has never totally been eliminated and now appears to be getting much worse.
