Extended Warranty or Sell

Long time no see to the board...

After yet another thing broke in my Audi I think it's time to shell out some dough on a warranty or consider dumping it.

Latest Issues:

40k service - Coil ignition pack on Cylinder #2 to be replaced - Engine Misfiring. Anybody have one of these go on them? What would the out of warranty cost be?

35K service - Catalytic Converter Replaced.

30K service - Master cylinder replaced.

25K service - New Manual transmission installed

Thinking about Going with Warranty Gold Diamond Coverage. Have been quoted $2850 for a 5 yr (from time of warranty purchase) 150k mile warranty.

On the other hand, $3K could also be put down towards another car.

What can I expect service wise to be needed in the first 20k after my Audi wrranty is up?

Sell the car. Don't pay 3 grand for a warranty.

Unless you really love the car, dump it and get something else. That depends on if you owe any money on it still. I bought an extended warranty for my '96 but i haven't had to use it yet.
