Default Exterior Temp gauge

So i was driving home yesterday and looked at my exterior temp gauge when i turned on my car and it seemed fine but as started driving it kept dropping a few degrees every few seconds till it reached like -56. I went through a large puddle that was across the road on Monday morning cause it was dark out and didn't see it and. Im thinking maybe something got wet. Let me know what you think.

Default Re: Exterior Temp gauge

That's the default reading for a sensor that's not sensing (or a sensor that's not being read). Replacing the sensor should solve the problem.
