Default extra 2 hours of labor for tb update with water pump?

the shop i'm getting my tb done at originally quoted me at 4.5 hours of labor. however, now they're claiming it takes an extra 2 full hours if they're going to do the water pump as well, totalling 6.5 hours. $550 for labor on this seems steep, right?

Default I got my rear wheel bearing and tb, wp, tensioners, ect., and snub done for $640 in labor.

that's not incredibly high. Did you bring the shop the parts?

Default They are probably referring to the removal of the entire pump housing.

People who do it according to the guide usually swap out the impeller half only. I think you should be charged an extra hour only for a full pump change and .5 hours for the impeller only.
