Other than warranty issues and peace of mind, is the extra CPU worth the extra $680 that APR sells it for, or would it be a waste of money w/ the EMCS features?

I have heard horror stories about people having an ECU related problem or Audi updated code on a recall.. the dealer yanks the ECu and puts an updated stock unit.. Bye, bye chipped ECU.. This puts you in a hard place.. You will then have to addmit you have a chipped ECu..
I dont have to worry about this as my dealer knows about my chip. Some dealers are not kind to chip people..
If I was going to chip from any manufacturer I would order the ECU just in case..

so i dont really have to worry about it. although, if something does go wrong with the chip, you always have the stock to put back in, so you can still drive the car, albeit not as much fun, but tis better than nothing
