Extremely interested in finding a 97 1.8T What should I be aware of?

I should have mentioned that my $450 price was from in independent foreign car garage, not my dealer

Default BTW...my '97 has been great! 67.5K miles and just a few minor problems that are common with A4s

Default Be very careful

Make sure you get an Audi assured car which comes with 75k warranty. If the car has already 60-65k, and you will be driving 10-15k a year, it might become an even less affordable venture than a brand new A4.

If you can't even afford a 98, you may not be able to afford the repair bills of a 97. German cars can get expensive to fix and maintain. Make sure you think it through.
