Someone told me once, that cars like BMW and Audi have a tendency to paint cracks or chips, after repaint in a couple of years, because for some reason aftermarket paint don't stick well to the car's body very well. Or it is a result for crappy autobody stores that do cornor cutting paint jobs. If anyone one had an accident and got their cars repainted. How is the new paint holding up?

There are many different prices on paint jobs. The cheaper ones that seem to good to be true, usually are. Yes, it is possible to get a quality paint job that will last. It just depends on how much you are willing to spend and the honesty of the business you are dealing with.

the body shop I have used on a few occasions, who came highly recommended from the Porsche shop I sometimes use, told me that Audis and BMWs tend to not hold paint that well. I've had to get my hood resprayed (paid by paint manufacturer) because rock chips occur a lot more. Whatever they do in the assembly plant is obviously different than what is done aftermarket.
