Re: I would try cleaning it. Can of air duster or one of those laser lens cleaning cd's maybe
I tried a CD Cleaner last week but the display screen in the car just read error. I have not tried dust cleaner, however, but will it really work?

I have a brand new iPod with iTrip, thank you, but CD Quality is 10X better than FM Transmitter. You would know this if you had a Bose System.

Good Lord....you are listening to your iPod through an FM Transmitter ?!?!?!?
Dude, that's so ghetto. Just install an iPod adapter. I have one that plugs in place of the antiquated cd changer in the trunk and a single cable goes to underneath the driver seat in my case. Simple to install and the sound quality is as good as the quality of the Mp3s on your iPod. The "Bose Blows" (tm) system (which I have as well) thinks you are on cd mode. I can use the radio controls to go forward and back.....easy

My local stealer ship does trade-ins for your old one...
Don't remember the price though. I think this is a Audi practice. I got one like this. I think I remember the first one crapping, but the replacement has worked for years.
