I made the decision a while ago that I couldn't look my loved ones in the eye if I wasn't doing everything possible to improve safety while on the track. I chose the HANS as it has the most testing and most recognition from professional racing organizations. The Isaac and R3 also appear to be very credible devices.
It's hard to tell a beginner that before going out on the track for the first time they should install a roll bar, 5-point harnesses, a race seat and a head and neck support system. However, for those of us that are doing this a lot, and already have all the other equipment, the decision shouldn't be too hard. I would have fealt pretty silly spending a grand on a new exaust if I hadn't already bought the HANS.
